The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce hosted its 2019 Human Resources Conference on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 9 & 10, 2019 at the Charleston Marriott. This annual event provides the most up-to-date information available for Human Resource professionals in West Virginia. Attendees learn about the latest trends and challenges in HR, and hear from experienced practitioners who give pointers on navigating these difficult issues.

The 2019 HR Conference started with the Chamber's inaugural Diversity and Inclusion Symposium on Tuesday, April 9th. This symposium discussed the changing world in which we live and how ensuring diversity and inclusion in your business will bring important perspectives and benefits that will help grow your company. Featured speaker Dr. Steve L. Robbins gave a fantastic presentation that has received rave reviews from attendees.

The HR Conference continued on Wednesday, April 10th with a variety of practical sessions geared towards Human Resource professionals. Topics included pay audits, succession planning, medical marijuana in the workplace, employee engagement, and best practices for employee off-boarding.
