Inaugural Women's Leadership Award: Congratulations, Ellen Cappellanti!
We introduced the inaugural Women’s Leadership Award at this year’s Women’s Leadership Summit to honor exceptional women who redefine leadership and uplift their communities.
True leadership is about vision, resilience, and making a difference.
This year’s recipient, Ellen Cappellanti, embodies these qualities. With over 40 years at Jackson Kelly in Charleston, West Virginia, she has built a legacy of expertise and respect. Beyond her legal practice, Ellen is a highly respected business leader, known for navigating complex transactions and uniting people.
The West Virginia Chamber is looking forward to honoring more exceptional women with this award in the years to come!
Helping West Virginia Students: Supporting United Way at The 2025 Women's Leadership Summit
This year, the West Virginia Chamber partnered with the United Way for our philanthropy project for the 2025 Women’s Leadership Summit: Powerful Voices.
The United Way has shared with us a critical need: athletic shoes for school-aged children. Many students lack the proper footwear for school and everyday activities, and some don’t have shoes at all.
Thank you to all who donated – we are thrilled to announce that we collected over 200 pairs of athletic shoes. This will help ensure that kids have the essentials they need to feel confident and comfortable in school.
