- Grow Leaders: We identify and nurture individuals with demonstrated skills and experience in civic activities, public affairs, and professional careers across industries.
- Inspire Action: Our participants come from diverse backgrounds and regions, but they share a common characteristic—an unwavering interest in West Virginia’s future.
- Address Critical Issues: Through seven monthly two-day educational sessions held from May to November, we delve into key subjects and critical challenges facing our state.
- Learn from Experts: At each session, recognized authorities provide valuable insights into the selected topics.
- Local Immersion: We visit local sites to reinforce learning through observation and practical experiences related to the program’s subject matter.
- Commitment: Participants commit to the demanding seven-month schedule, recognizing the importance of their role in shaping West Virginia’s destiny.
With over 1,500 graduates, Leadership West Virginia has created a broad statewide network of engaged West Virginians. These leaders span various sectors and levels, collectively working toward inventing a brighter future for the Mountain State.
