State Chamber president to speak at Upshur event

BUCKHANNON — The annual celebration of the Buckhannon-Upshur Chamber of Commerce will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the event center in Brushy Fork.
Steve Roberts, president of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, will be the keynote speaker for the evening.
Roberts will be representing the COC, that was recently named the No. 1 chamber of commerce in the nation for member loyalty and retention by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives.
Awards will be presented to the business community for the annual awards for Organization, Small Business, Citizen, and Chamber Business Woman and Man of the year.
The meal will feature an array of arrangements prepared by Chef Dale Hawkins with Fish Hawk Acres.
Tickets start at $35 for Buckhannon-Upshur Chamber members and their guest; $50 for non-chamber members; and $300 for a reserved table of eight, including dinner
tickets.
