2025 Women’s Leadership Summit: Kathy Thomas & Kaylin Jorge Join WSAZ
March 17, 2025

The West Virginia Chamber’s Kathy Thomas, Vice President & CFO and Kaylin Jorge, Chief Communications, Development & Policy Officer joined WSAZ’s Studio 3 on Monday, March 17 to discuss the upcoming 2025 Women’s Leadership Summit: Powerful Voices.
Attendees can expect two days of expert speakers, engaging panels, networking opportunities, career growth workshops and more. It’s being held at the beautiful Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va.
Building on the success of previous years, the West Virginia Chamber anticipates record-breaking attendance, bringing together women from many different industries and backgrounds.
The summit features an exceptional lineup of speakers, including influential West Virginians such as Jessica Lynch, a native of West Virginia, retired U.S. Army soldier, and former prisoner of war, who will share her inspiring journey on Wednesday afternoon and Marshall University First Lady Alys Smith, who will be moderating a panel discussion with women in the Ascend West Virginia program on Wednesday morning.
Each year, the Women’s Leadership Summit takes on a philanthropy project to give back to the community. This year, in partnership with the United Way, the Chamber is collecting new athletic shoes (sizes 12 youth to 12 adult, men’s and women’s) for school-aged children in need. Attendees are encouraged to bring donations to the summit, helping ensure students have the essentials to feel confident and comfortable in school.
Mentorship has become an integral part of the Women’s Leadership Summit as the West Virginia Chamber and attendees are dedicated to helping shape the next generation of leaders. The West Virginia Chamber is thrilled to again welcome Jobs For West Virginia’s Graduates students and college students from across the Mountain State for unparalleled experiences and opportunities to connect with West Virginia’s best and brightest as they strive to inspire the next generation of women leaders.
