When Jen Willits participated in Leadership West Virginia in 2018, she didn’t imagine she’d one day be running the esteemed program. But this March, she returned to the organization as its executive director, ready to lead with the same vision and purpose that first captivated and inspired her. In her new role, Willits oversees a statewide effort to cultivate, connect and inspire current and emerging leaders. She brings a deep understanding of the program’s mission and a strong commitment to expanding its reach across the Mountain State.
“Leadership West Virginia has had a lasting impact on me personally and professionally,” Willits said. “I’m proud to now lead the organization and work alongside others who are committed to West Virginia’s growth and success.”
Before stepping into this role, Willits built a successful career in financial services, gaining extensive experience in business development, client relations and strategic planning. She is a proud graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College, where she attended on a tennis scholarship and earned a B.A. in Public Relations. Passionate about West Virginia’s future, Willits draws on her leadership experience and financial acumen to empower others to lead with purpose.
“We are proud supporters of this flagship program and the impact it has had on our state,” West Virginia Chamber of Commerce President Steve Roberts said. “We look forward to working with Jen and seeing the program flourish under her leadership.”
