Jobs for West Virginia Graduates

Who We Are

Jobs for West Virginia’s Graduates is a family of West Virginia students, teachers, school administrators, community members, employers and corporate partners working towards the shared goal of drop-out prevention and a productive school-to-work transition for students overcoming barriers.

JWVG is a strong affiliate of the nationally renowned Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program, which has served 1,000,000 youth in its 40 years and is recognized as the nations leading dropout prevention and school-to-work transition program.

JWVG is a program of the West Virginia Chamber Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization.

West Virginia students are our future and greatest asset. In West Virginia, many students need additional support to make their dreams a reality. Jobs for West Virginia’s Graduates uses the proven Job’s for America’s Graduates model- which has a 96% graduation rate- to provide life-changing results.

Jobs for West Virginia’s Graduates (JWVG) helps students of great promise who are facing challenges realize their potential and reach their goals. This is achieved by placing a caring adult in their lives to help guide them toward high school graduation and equip them with the personal and professional skills to transition into higher education, the workforce or the military.

Why We Do It

All students need a caring adult in their life. This is especially true for students that have faced challenges to their success. That’s why at JWVG our focus is on our students. Not only do we help prepare them for the “real world” while they’re in school but we stay by their side for up to 12 months post-graduation…. But don’t let us tell you—see it for yourself:

Jobs for West Virginia’s Graduates serves over 1,000 students in Logan, McDowell, Boone, Lewis, Jackson, Clay and Kanawha Counties.

  • McDowell County: Mount View High School, River View High School
  • Logan County: Logan High School
  • Boone County: Scott High School
  • Lewis County: Lewis County High School
  • Jackson County: Ripley High School
  • Clay County: Clay County High School
  • Kanawha County: Riverside High School
