Vandalia Health offerings expanding around the Kanawha Valley

August 28, 2025

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va – Health services continue to grow in the Kanawha Valley and around the region as Vandalia Health’s offerings are set to expand in the near future.

Vandalia Health president and CEO Dave Ramsey addressed what’s in store at the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce Business Summit on Thursday, with facilities within the CAMC network taking center stage.

One of those is Teays Valley Hospital, which is currently undergoing expansion.

“We’re expanding that hospital, adding 20 beds. It’s under construction now, and then we’re also adding new surgery suites, new endoscopy suites to that hospital as well,” Ramsey said.

Facilities in Charleston are in line for upgrades, and new offerings are on their way as well. Treatment offerings at CAMC Cancer Center receive a significant addition very soon.

“Soon after the first of the year, we’ll be adding radiation therapy. That radiation therapy facility should be done close to the end of the year,” Ramsey said.

Vandalia’s footprint in the capital city is going to grow significantly in the coming years. Construction of the CAMC Neuroscience Institute is on track to begin before the end of the year.

“This building will house all of our neurosurgery, neurology, and neurology residency. It also houses our tele-stroke program,” Ramsey said.

Additionally, plans are in place to move rehabilitation services out of CAMC General Hospital and into a brand-new facility.

“I can’t undersell, to some extent, how spectacular this program will be. It will be the finest program in the state and really, within the surrounding region,” Ramsey said.
