90 Years of Progress. And We’re Just Getting Started.
Charleston, W.Va. — The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce concluded its 90th Annual Meeting and Business Summit last week at The Greenbrier, welcoming more than 1,300 attendees and counting for the record-setting three-day event.
Held September 2–4 under the theme “A Legacy That Leads,” the 90th Annual Meeting and Business Summit brought together business and community leaders from across West Virginia and beyond for thought-provoking discussions, meaningful conversations and a celebration of the people, businesses and communities that have shaped 90 years of progress in the Mountain State.
This year’s event marked a number of records for the Chamber, including record attendance, record event sponsorship and a record number of sponsor exhibitors, reflecting the continued strength and engagement of West Virginia’s business community.
“This year’s Business Summit was a tremendous reflection of the strength, diversity and determination of West Virginia’s business community,” Steve Roberts, President of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, said. “As we celebrate 90 years of progress, we also look ahead to what comes next. The energy and engagement we saw throughout this year’s Summit made one thing clear: we’re just getting started.”
Throughout the three-day event, attendees participated in energizing conversations focused on the opportunities and challenges shaping West Virginia’s future. National, state and business leaders shared insights and perspectives on issues important to the state’s economy, workforce and communities, while attendees had opportunities to connect, exchange ideas and build relationships.
The Summit also served as a celebration of the businesses, people and communities whose leadership, innovation and commitment have helped shape the Chamber and West Virginia over the past nine decades.
We’re grateful to our record number of sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, attendees, volunteers and partners for making the 90th Annual Meeting and Business Summit a historic event.
