W.Va. Chamber to Welcome Republican Whip Steve Scalise to West Virginia

Charleston, W.Va. – The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce announced today that Republican Whip Steve Scalise will travel to While Sulphur Springs for the 2019 Annual Meeting and Business Summit on August 28 at The Greenbrier. Scalise’s visit comes following a record setting 5.2% GDP growth in the first quarter of 2019 and reports highlighting West Virginia’s economy as stronger than ever, leading the nation in opportunity and development.

West Virginia Chamber of Commerce President Steve Roberts said “We welcome Republican Whip Steve Scalise to West Virginia for our Annual Meeting and Business Summit. As a leader for free enterprise in the United States House of Representatives, Whip Scalise has worked tirelessly to promote job creation in our state and around the country.”

Congresswoman Carol Miller added, “I am honored to have my colleague and friend, Whip Steve Scalise, visit the Mountain State for the West Virginia Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Business Summit. As the Republican Whip, Congressman Scalise stands for the pro-growth economic principles that make our country great, and I am proud to partner with him to continue to diversify our economy, create jobs, and support our energy industry.”

The West Virginia Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Business Summit is the largest gathering of business, industry, financial, and political leaders in the state of West Virginia. The Summit provides networking and business opportunities, as well as the exchange of ideas helps set the stage for further economic growth in West Virginia.
