West Virginia Chamber Announces New Board of Directors Chair

The membership of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce has elected its Chair of the Board of Directors to serve until the 2025 Annual Membership Meeting.
Maribeth Anderson, Director of Government Relations at Antero Resources Corporation, was elected as Chair at the 88th Annual Meeting held August 28, 2024.
Anderson is the previous vice-chair of the West Virginia Chamber Board of Directors and the third female in West Virginia Chamber history to be elected to the role of Chair.
“At every turn, the Chamber works for a prosperous and vibrant West Virginia and I’m eager to keep working with this talented group of leaders,” Anderson said. “As a native and lifelong West Virginian, it’s gratifying to see the track record of policy successes that entice businesses to build and grow right here in our state.”
Anderson is the successor of Susan Lavenski, CEO of Charles Ryan Associates.
Steve Roberts, President of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, stated, “I am very grateful for Susan Lavenski’s successful tenure as the previous Chair. Lavenski’s leadership during her two-year term led to significant accomplishments for the Chamber that will have ripple effects for years to come.”
Roberts continued, “Maribeth Anderson is a visionary leader actively involved in enhancing West Virginia. The Chamber is looking forward to Anderson’s contributions in her new role.”
In addition, seven new members have been elected to the Board of Directors for the first time, including Alicia Knapp, CEO of BHE Renewables; Patrick Winkleman, Environment, Health and Safety Director at Proctor & Gamble; Phil Shuman, president of GoMart, Ashley Pack, Managing Partner at Dinsmore & Shohl LLP; John Hebert, Site Director of Dow; Spencer Murphy, president of Truist in West Virginia; Heather Ouimette, Director of Group Sales at The Resort at Glade Springs.
