West Virginia Chamber debuting 2024 edition of CourtWatch at 88th Annual Meeting & Business Summit, offering CLE credit to West Virginia attorneys

August 14, 2024

The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 2024 edition of CourtWatch: The Impact of the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals on Our State’s Economy, will make its debut at the 88th Annual Meeting & Business Summit being held at The Greenbrier Resort from Aug. 28- Aug. 30. The Annual Meeting & Business Summit is the state’s largest gathering of business, industry, education, finance and political leaders from around West Virginia. Record-breaking attendance is expected, with an anticipated 1,000+ attendees at the three-day event that is bursting at the seams with great content and a slate of superb speakers.

CourtWatch, a first-of-its-kind initiative pioneered by the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, is published for the Annual Meeting & Business Summit each year and discusses decisions of the West Virginia Supreme Court, the Intermediate Court of Appeals and more.

Decisions are summarized by some of the most experienced attorneys in West Virginia and explain the impact of judiciary decisions on employers.

2024 CourtWatch features case reviews and how they affect your business in the following areas:

  • Products Liability
  • MPLA and Healthcare
  • Practice and Procedure
  • Business Organization
  • COVID-19
  • Employment/Labor Law
  • ICA Cases
  • Insurance
  • U.S. Supreme Court and
    Federal Cases
  • Workers’ Compensation

2024 CourtWatch is available here.

In addition, the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the 88th Annual Meeting & Business Summit has been approved for 11.2 hours of live attendance CLE credit from the West Virginia State Bar.
