CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce concluded its 90th Annual Meeting and Business Summit with record attendance, sponsorship and exhibitor participation.
More than 1,300 people attended the three-day event, held Sept. 2-4 at The Greenbrier under the theme “A Legacy That Leads.”
The summit brought together business and community leaders from across West Virginia and beyond for discussions focused on the state’s economy, workforce and communities.
The Chamber said this year’s event set records for attendance, event sponsorship and the number of sponsor exhibitors.
“This year’s Business Summit was a tremendous reflection of the strength, diversity and determination of West Virginia’s business community,” Steve Roberts, President of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, said. “As we celebrate 90 years of progress, we also look ahead to what comes next. The energy and engagement we saw throughout this year’s Summit made one thing clear: we’re just getting started.”
National, state and business leaders participated in conversations throughout the summit about issues affecting West Virginia’s future, while attendees had opportunities to exchange ideas and build professional relationships.
The event also recognized businesses, individuals and communities that have contributed to the Chamber and West Virginia over the past nine decades.
The Chamber credited its sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, attendees, volunteers and partners for helping make the 90th Annual Meeting and Business Summit a record-setting event.
