Charleston, W.Va. – The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee has announced its first round of endorsements for the May 2026 Primary Election in West Virginia.

“The West Virginia Chamber’s endorsement process is member driven. Our members are located across all 55 counties of West Virginia and employ over half of West Virginia’s workforce,” West Virginia Chamber President Steve Roberts said. “These members are also engaged in every economic and industrial sector in the state. The Chamber PAC has been gathering feedback and listening closely when making decisions about who to endorse.”

The full list includes candidates for federal, state and judicial offices across West Virginia. The Chamber PAC previously announced its endorsement of Senator Shelley Moore Capito for the United States Senate, as well as a slate of judicial endorsements recognizing individuals committed to applying the law in a fair and predictable manner.

In races for the West Virginia Legislature, endorsements are based on an incumbent’s voting record and their general work on advancing economic development. For non-incumbents, an extensive interview process plays an important role in helping to determine how a candidate will work as a member of the legislature.

“The West Virginia Chamber PAC is continuing to interview candidates and is still making decisions in several races, but we are excited to roll out the list of first-round endorsements,” Roberts said. “The quality of the candidates that are running this year is among the best that we’ve seen and we feel optimistic in our goal of making West Virginia a better place to live, work and raise a family.”

The West Virginia Chamber PAC is the political arm of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce. Members of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce are your small business neighbors. Chamber members employ over half of our state’s workforce and are found across our state.
