West Virginia Chamber of Commerce Releases West Virginia Campaign For Jobs 2024 Digest Tracking the State’s Economic Health

September 17, 2024

The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the release of the West Virginia Campaign for Jobs 2024 Digest, a comprehensive publication designed to provide a detailed, data-driven look at the state’s economic health. This digest is a vital resource for understanding the current landscape of West Virginia’s business climate, offering insight into 61 key indicators that reflect the state’s performance and progress.

The 2024 Campaign for Jobs Digest includes the latest available data, thoughtfully compiled to present a clear picture of West Virginia’s economic health. This publication provides a side-by-side comparison of West Virginia’s rankings on important economic indicators relative to other states, highlighting both strengths and areas needing improvement.

Accompanying the digest is a data dashboard offering a snapshot of critical statistics, providing a quick view of the most pressing issues facing West Virginia.

The digest reveals encouraging statistics while also pinpointing areas where more work is required, helping to identify opportunities for continued improvement.

“The West Virginia Campaign for Jobs 2024 Digest underscores our commitment to fostering a healthier, better educated and more prosperous West Virginia,” Steve Roberts, President of the West Virginia Chamber said. “Our goal is to make West Virginia the best state for business and provide opportunity for all. We hope this resource will serve as a valuable tool for policymakers, business leaders and community advocates as we work together to strengthen our state’s economy.”

Roberts continued, “The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce has been a staunch advocate for economic policy improvement for nearly 90 years, representing employers across all 55 counties and employing over half of the state’s workforce. The Chamber remains dedicated to uniting businesses and fostering a thriving environment where all West Virginians can succeed.”
