September 8, 2025
CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the release of the West Virginia Campaign for Jobs 2025 Digest, an annual publication offering a detailed, data-driven overview of the state’s economic health. This year’s Digest analyzes 61 key economic indicators, providing insights into where West Virginia is advancing, and where more work remains.
Designed to serve policymakers, business leaders and community advocates, the Digest compares West Virginia’s performance to other states, highlighting strengths, identifying challenges and pointing to opportunities for growth and improvement.
Accompanying the full publication is a data dashboard (shown below) offering readers a quick and accessible snapshot of West Virginia’s most critical economic metrics.
“The 2025 Campaign for Jobs Digest reflects our continued commitment to building a stronger, more prosperous West Virginia,” Steve Roberts, President of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, said. “By presenting clear and reliable data, we hope to empower decision-makers and help foster an environment where businesses and communities can thrive.”
The Digest includes both encouraging trends and areas in need of policy attention, reinforcing the Chamber’s goal to make West Virginia the best state for business and a place where all residents can succeed.
“For nearly 90 years, the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce has been a steadfast advocate for economic progress,” Roberts added. “We represent employers across the Mountain State and stand united in our efforts to grow opportunity, improve quality of life and drive our state forward.”
