West Virginia Gubernatorial Candidates, National & International Speakers, Record Crowds Anticipated at West Virginia Chamber 88th Annual Meeting & Business Summit

August 6, 2024

The largest gathering of business, industry, education, finance and political leaders from around West Virginia will convene at the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce 88th Annual Meeting & Business Summit from Aug. 28 to Aug. 30, 2024. This year’s theme is “Uniting Business. Igniting Prosperity.”

We’re expecting another year for record-breaking attendance, with more than 1,000 attendees at the three-day event that is bursting at the seams with great content and a slate of superb speakers.

West Virginia’s gubernatorial candidates, The Hon. Patrick Morrisey and The Hon. Steve Williams, will each be presenting remarks on their vision for our state’s future, elaborating on a detailed Q&A featured in the latest edition of Chamber Magazine.

This year’s excellent lineup of speakers includes Ambassador of Canada to the United States Kirsten Hillman, United States Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President Neil Bradley, NewsNation Political Editor Chris Stirewalt and many more.

More than two dozen of West Virgina’s most influential businesses will be showcased at the Business Summit to discuss their ongoing investment in the Mountain State. See a full list here.

Guests will receive expert insight into many topics of interest to West Virginians in “The West Virginia Poll” presented by Rex Repass, President of Research America Inc.

Scheduled speakers also include Gov. Jim Justice and West Virginia Sens. Joe Manchin and Shelley Moore Capito, Representative Carol Miller, presidents of higher education institutions, healthcare CEOs and many more.

Steve Roberts, President of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, said, “The 88th Annual Meeting & Business Summit serves as a platform for businesses to come together and share ideas that will contribute to the robust economies that benefit local communities. Members are poised to foster connections and shape the future during this event, a time-honored tradition since 1936.”

Roberts continued, “This three-day meeting will highlight the best of West Virginia, promoting economic growth by discussing topics such as the economy, health, education, energy and the state’s well-being.
