NEWS RELEASE: West Virginia Chamber Foundation Continues Longstanding Flood Relief Support for Small Businesses

Charleston, W.Va. – The West Virginia Chamber Foundation is continuing its longstanding commitment to helping West Virginia communities recover from devastating floods by opening an application cycle for small business flood relief mini-grants.
For a number of years, the Chamber Foundation has provided direct assistance to small businesses impacted by flooding across the state, helping business owners recover, reopen and continue serving their communities. Through previous flood relief efforts, the Chamber Foundation has supported small businesses in communities throughout Clay, Greenbrier, Kanawha, McDowell, Nicholas, Ohio, Pocahontas, Roane and Webster counties, among others.
This year, the Chamber Foundation is once again making mini-grants available to small businesses impacted by recent flooding. The grants are designed to provide flexible assistance with immediate recovery and rebuilding needs as businesses work to reopen and resume operations.
The Chamber Foundation extends its particular thanks to the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh (FHLBank Pittsburgh), whose generous support is providing the funding necessary to make this round of small business flood relief grants possible.
Small businesses are at the heart of West Virginia’s communities, and supporting their recovery is an important part of rebuilding after a natural disaster. Through the support of partners such as FHLBank Pittsburgh, the Chamber Foundation is able to put resources directly into the hands of business owners and communities when they are needed most.
